Values

Some might call this a manifesto but I prefer to think of it as a set of core values. These values define how I see the world and guide my experience within it.

Be present

Give your full attention to the task at hand. Stay focussed and avoid multi-tasking whenever possible.

Be sustainable

Focus on doing what’s right for the long term. Don’t compromise long-term sustainability for short-term wins.

Be adventurous

Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. You grow the most outside of your comfort zone.

Maintain a beginner’s mind

Question everything. Approach every new problem with a clear mind. Don’t let the dogma of the past define the reality of the future.

Do great work

Put the effort in and always do your best work. If you don’t you’re just wasting your time.

Be kind

Help others and be thankful to those that help you. Be selfless, an act of kindness should not expect something in return.

Keep it simple

Use only what is necessary to achieve your goal. Discard what is considered fashionable or cool unless it has a true purpose. Simplicity can stand the test of time, fashion does not.

Be grateful

You are not a lone genius. Any success that you enjoy is built on the work of those that came before you. Be thankful for all that they have done.
